Hi all Looking forward to seeing many of you at the symposium next weekend.
I imagine most people will have organised transport by now, but if anyone is still stuck on how to get to Whanganui from Auckland or Wellington please post to the list and / or email [email protected] , and we can see if it's possible to organise car shares. Likewise if anyone will have room in a car please let us know.
And if anyone is driving up from Wellington on Saturday morning can you please let me know? We have someone arriving at PN airport at 10am on Sat who would love a ride from there to Whanganui in order to not arrive too late.
In fact if anyone else will be driving past or near PN on the way on sat or friday, if you think you will have room in the car, please let me know, in case we can coordinate any other airport pickups....
In general, for anyone flying into PN, the best way to get to Whanganui is by taking the Airport shuttle to the CBD, which costs $10-12 to the Intercity Bus pick up point.
Then there are 3-4 buses from PN to Wh a day, and the price ranges from $12 - 24 - here are the links for times/costs from Thursday - Saturday:
