We are looking for a Biodiversity Data Support Officer to join the team here at Sussex Biodiversity Record Centre.
Permanent - Full Time - 35 hours per week £21,600 Based at Woods Mill near Henfield, West Sussex Sussex Biodiversity Record Centre (www.sxbrc.org.uk) is the hub for authoritative information relating to biodiversity and geodiversity in Sussex, working in partnership with data users and data providers for public benefit. It is funded by a range of partners and managed as a department of the Sussex Wildlife Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled individual to undertake species and habitat data entry work using various data management systems, including Recorder 6 and GIS, and to support our data request service. The successful candidate must have a passion for biological recording and experience of working with and managing species data. Links with the Sussex biological recording community and an understanding of the issues they face in gathering, capturing and managing data, would be an advantage.
