Gold wasn't intended to stand alone - instead to be used in conjunction with
MyFaces:

MyFaces Gold (like jakarta-commons)

+1 for Trinidad.

-1 for Gold. The term Gold is often used as an abbreviation for Gold
Master,
meaning the final release of a product. That in itself could be confusing.
However, given that many people refer to Apache HTTPD as simply Apache,
the
term Apache Gold could also be used to refer to a final release of the web
server. Let's just avoid any potential confusion, and not use the term
Gold
to refer to ADF Faces.
