Hi All,

The charting component that I have been working on is at a point where I can
start integrating with the Trinidad framework. The following are some of the
changes since the last time:

  - Supported Chart Types - 1. Vertical, 2. Horizontal, 3. Stacked
Vertical, 4. Stacked Horizontal, 5. Pie, 6. Area, 7. Stacked Area, 8. Line,
  9. Bar-Line Combo, 10. XY Line, 11. ScatterPlot, 12. Radar,
13.RadarArea, 14. Funnel, 15. Circular Guage, 16. Semi-Circular
Guage.
  - Animation - Each chart has a unique animation effect. The animation
  can be turned off.
  - Tooltip support.
  - Drill down through click event.
  - Skinning - Since the charts are drawn using graphics elements,
simply skinning through CSS is not sufficient. The graph is assembled using
template elements in a SVG document. The L&F of the charts can be changed by
providing a different SVG template document. This is especially useful for
guage charts which can be skinned to look totally different.
  - Support for Opera Browser, in addition to IE, Firefox.

Please check out the latest prototype at the following location
http://people.apache.org/~matzew/venkata/. Matthias was kind enough to host
it on his website.

When I integrate with Trinidad, I need a mechanism to format yValues on the
client (yValue labels). I also need this to format the values displayed on
tooltips. I was wondering if I could use the clientConverter in Trinidad for
this purpose. I would appreciate any pointers in this regard.

Another thing that is of a minor concern to me is that the charting will add
about 4000 lines of JS to trinidad.

I am wondering if I can enter a JIRA issue and start the integration work
with Trinidad? The integration work will take some time since I am very busy
with my day job at Oracle.

Regards,
Venkata
