I got this working already. What I did wrong the first time was I put a
border on .AFFieldText, so everytime any text component that uses the
.AFFieldText selector even if it is not in the inputText component, it also
gets a border around it.

I did put the input selector on the css file:

input
{
color: ...;
background: ...;
border: ...
}

<af:panelForm labelWidth="10%" width="100%">
            <af:inputText value="#{bindings.someValue.inputValue}"
                  label="dafadfad"
                        readOnly = true
                  ...
                        ...
                        ...
             </af:inputText>
                <af:inputText value=...
                        readOnly = false
                        ...
                        ...
                        ...
                </af:inputText>
</af:panelForm>

Hi Anthony,
The skinning keys for form components have changed from 10.1.3 to
Trinidad. You should ask this question on OTN.
Also, if you could submit a snippet of the jspx code you are using for
the inputText (like show that it is in a panelForm, for example)
in your question.

 Thanks,
Jeanne
