Oh, last time I don't call mvn release:perform.
I call mvn deploy directly.

mvn release:perform is executing mvn again and don't copy the -D parameter.

Please add following configuration to the gpg plugin

 <configuration>
    <passphrase>${gpg.passphrase}</passphrase>
 </configuration>

and add following profiles to your ${HOME}/.m2/settings.xml

 <profiles>
     <profile>
      <id>staging</id>
      <properties>

<deploy.altRepository>scpexe://minotaur.apache.org/www/people.apache.org/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX</deploy.altRepository>
       </properties>
    </profile>
    <profile>
      <id>release</id>
      <properties>
        <gpg.passphrase>XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx</gpg.passphrase>
      </properties>
    </profile>
  </profiles>

and call only

mvn release:perform -Prelease,staging

I've done this

mvn release:perform -Prelease,staging -Ddeploy.altRepository=theRepoURL

what's wrong here ?
