af:document always generates a DOCTYPE, so if you use jsp:output's doctype generation, you'll get doubles. In general, I strongly recommend that developers do not use jsp:output to produce a DOCTYPE, but let af:document do it for you; but if the community believes that it is necessary to support both, we need an enhancement to support turning off DOCTYPE generation in af:document. Alternatively, we could add a configuration switch to control whether pages should be in STRICT or TRANSITIONAL mode. > Trinidad doesn't support generating STRICT XHTML.
