With regard the case of the family of Abd
Mutalib Bin Taib(in detention at the KLIA Immigration Depot since 23/3/2005) ,
Maruly Aziz Bin Abd Mutalib(12+ tahun), Sarah Nor Varah Hanim Binti Abd Mutalib
(11+tahun), Yonatan Adam Fauzi Bin Abd Mutalib (9+tahun) dan Ismael Syah Putra
(6 + tahun) dan Romita Hasibuan - it would be good to send your appeals to the
following persons (listed below) by mail/fax/e-mail calling
for:-
Re-Unite the
Family of Maruly Aziz, Sarah, Yonatan and
Ismael & Let Them ALL Remain in Malaysia as ONE family Maruly Aziz Bin Abd Mutalib(age 12+
years), Sarah Nor Varah Hanim Binti Abd Mutalib (11+), Yonatan Adam Fauzi Bin
Abd Mutalib (9+) and Ismael Syah
Putra (6 + ), all born in Malaysia, who have lived their whole life in Malaysia
as citizens are now under the threat of being separated from their father, Abdul
Mutalib dan possibly their
mother Romita
Hasibuan. Abdul Mutalib when he went to the
National Registration Department(NRD)
to apply for the identity card of Maruly Aziz was arrested on 23/5/2005
and detained at the KLIA Immigration Depot, and the authorities are now
threathening to deport him back to Indonesia. Abdul Mutalib arrived in Malaysia
in 1978, and since the 80s have been accorded the status of Permanent Resident,
and was issued an Identity Card. In 2000, he renewed his Identity Card and in
2004 he got his Mykad from the NRD. He married Romita in 1991, who have
stayed in Malaysia by virtue of a
6-month renewable spouse visa, whereby the present visa was renewed on
18-3-2005. All their children were born in Malaysia and have no other
nationality other than that of Malaysia. We, the undersigned hereby appeal that this family be re-united, and be allowed to remain in Malaysia as a family unit, as they have done since marriage and the birth of all their children. We also urge the Malaysian authorities not to separate children from father, wife from husband, children from mother and/or siblings from siblings and to do all necessary to re-unite this family.
