The day 15th June considered to be the BLACK DAY for tribal officer and employees who are working with state Government and statutory bodies i.e. semi Govt . The very same day in the year 1995 after GOWARI massacre (1994) Govt of Maharastra passed resolution to protect those non tribe employees who sought appointment through scheduled tribe category, impersonating themselves as tribes. Govt protected services of well established creamy layer caste like kosti, Kalar, Sonar,Kunbi, Dhobi, Dhangar, Rajput and many others in the name of Scheduled Tribes. Govt of Maharastra has declared this figure 1 lac 5 thousand of such bogus and fraudulent employees in the state . It’s a figure declared by Govt. If you go into details of this figure you may defiantly find more than 2 lac. The factual figure of bogus tribes in services has not been revealed because of unenthusiastic policy of caste Verification. At this juncture to remember and recapitulate the acidic past as well as various burning issues related to tribes ,we have arranged family gathering of tribal officers and employees on the same day i.e. on 15th June 2013 at VASANTRAO DESHPANDE HALL, CIVIL LINES, NAGPUR. At 12.15 pm to 4.00 pm Shri Shivajirao Moghe, Minister of Social Justice GOM, Shri Anand Gedam MLA, Shri Netaji Rajgadkar Ex MLA, Shri Sambhali Sarkunde,IAS , Commissioner, Tribal Wellfare, Nahik, will attend the gathering as distinguished guests and speak on - SOCIAL CONCIOUSNESS of TRIBAL , DANGERS AND NEW AVENUES..
