No.F/24961/THANE) as you are a very important person to me I am writing to you to request you for a kind donation for our new school building fund. *150 Km from Mumbai coming in Thane district with tribal belt* Chikhale- Maharashtra, my village where we are approximately 5000 in population, although we have many communities like Bhandari (Toddy collector), Mangela ( Marathi Fishermen), Macchi (Gujarati Fishermen) , Harijan ( The Dalits ) and majority are Adivasis (Warli Tribal) we all live in super harmony. Presently our village has Z. P government School until 7th Standard and to pursue further studies most of the students going to Narpad School (AJM School Narpad ) until SSC. Narpad is the closest school for the Chikhale but its 5 km by road. Though the children come from a very poor family background and their families are struggling for the very livelyhood they see the value of education high and therefore attend schools by walk, cycle and very few by public bus. However, the Tribals ( Adivasis ) who are worse than others in poverty living in the Padas (Part of the village ) these have to walk minimum 10 to 15 km every day to attend school since the transportation isn't available to their areas yet. As per the recent findings, the most dropouts from schools are from the areas where transportation is not available. *This school focuses this issue and will provide an opportunity to these students to get their education within Chikhale village and get quality free education. * Current Problem: This year we managed to register our school and we have 30 underprivileged poor students for 8th standard but we don't have any infrastructure to run this school further. Chikhale Grampanchayat provided a temporary room in their location to start 8th Standard class and we are arranging it to run from June 15th, 2013. As a government guided rule, a school should have 2 acres of land and a reasonable spacious building and much some more guidelines and we are struggling to source this. The Villagers contribute through small donations to sustain this school but our condition is not approving. As an immediate priority, we are looking for some important donations for kind people like you for School benches for 30 kids which would costs a minimum of 30000 - 40000 Rupees.
