VANVASI is a word used in our ancient books of culture, religion and philosophy. Adivasi is a word introduced by English people after declearing Victoria Rajya in 1856. They used this word to collect revenue. Before English people ADIVASI Word was not known in the society. Constitution of India did not accept ADIVASI, it accept JANJATI. Churches are panitrating against Vanvasi word, criticising that vanvasi means backward, jungli and uncultured people. This is misleading concept. If you are happy with ADIVASI you live, nobody bothers about that. Dont cricise Vanvasi- its a geographical diffination. English people are using word TRIBAL on place of ADIVASI, open oxford dictionary and see what is meant by TRIBAL Agroup of people living in forest or on the bank of river,depending on hunting loot and theft have no social decipline,no religion and culture are known as Tribal groups. Vanvasi has culture and religion along with way of living since last VEDA age. Thousands of year before Bible and HOBS,Lock and Roussou the western thinkers. Vanvasies are oldest culture society on this earth. They promote Ashram System, They protect Rishies and saints during their PUJA and HAWANS. The support Kings and on many places they ruled too.
