I'm sure most of you have seen this nice little tidbit of news this morning:

Hmmmm.

I just love these blanket policies.  They government is basically saying
that I (and I use I on purpose here) might commit cybercrimes or use the
internet and/or other electronic means in a crime at some point in the
future; therefore, the government is simply going to order the surveillance
of ME prior to any actual crime being committed, but just in case.

What kind of backwards logic is this?
