Thanks Tim and Michael .

The download from the Sony DCR- TRV 33E is in MPEG. The quality looked
ok then with constant sound . I guess i need to make do with MPEG . To
take the sound out and then edit again will be an idea. Will try that
out. Is there any other potential problems that may occur with
rendered movies not able to play the sound ? Did i missed clicking on
some buttons to enable certain function? I would assume that the sound
would be present with the visual when i put the clip into the timeline
. Right?

Tks for ur help
