Yeah I bought a dell because I bought it with coupons. I am not sure if I will want to
do it again.

First thing after getting a dell, reformat the HD. It comes with AOL, EarthLink, Dell
Alert and all the crap you never use. Besides, it's XP Home.

I actually sold that 40GB HD comes with it (with the pathetic 2MB cache) and put a
250GB SATA HD.

Then, the performance is just medium. For sure no problem on word processing and web
surfing. When comes to editing video, even with Hyperthreading CPU, I got jerky
preview. Besides, when it comes to render Slideshow, the mouse is not quite moving.

Yeah, Dell tech support.. your call will be routed to India and have to talk to people
with very thick and strong account. No offense to Indian people. It's just English is
not my first language. It's very difficult for me to hear and understand from the
conversation. It get so frustrated.

For my next PC, I will get one of those gaming PC although I don't play any PC games.

I would definitely also consider getting a Dell. At
www.dell.com you can choose your own configuration. I
suspect that a speed of 3 gHz and at least 1 or 2 gigs
of memory will allow you to take advanage of all the
bells and whistles in any program. Dell gives you
free support for one year.

Just a thought.
