"Fields" aren't a quality issue, they're a display issue.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Just to be argumentative for a second...
Then why is 'Field Rendered' animation SMOOTHER, than frame animation?

In AP are we at 30 frames per second or 60 fields per second?

Also...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Vertical Resolution:
A standard NTSC TV has 525 Horizontal Scan Lines (483 visible others contain
sync signal) (PAL has 625 lines)
Effective resolution is 483 x .7 (Kell factor) = 338 lines of resolution
30 frames/second (2:1 interlaced - 1/2 of frames every 1/60 sec.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I just thought the 320 lines together (example) with the interlace
explanation gives the wrong impression.
Right?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Horizontal Resolution (vertical lines) varies:
Older TV's are capable of 300 vertical lines
Newer TV's have 400 lines and 27" and above "Hi Res." Std. TV's
  have 600-750 lines.
