You said it was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 4300. To clarify things and sorry for my stupidity: I thought a Nikon Coolpix 4300 is actually a digital photocamera that can also tape films??? So if it uses hi8 tape than the best way to digitise it is to connect it to a digital video camera- lot's of them can tape from Hi8 tapes via a cable. If you don' t have a digital camera than yes you would have burn a dvd and then import it. Good luck! Stefanie Kappel BA (Hons.), MA, ARPS Photography & Digital Imaging
www.stefaniekappel.com >the tape it uses is a hi8 MP tape. is this clear enough? there is no output to it that can be plugged into a computer. there is only a tv output, and the way i think im going to get it into my comp is by recording the footage onto dvd. then rip it with a program on my comp, and convert it to avi footage. --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED], "Stefanie Kappel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dear isaac- > a way around this is: import your footage first into one of those free programms as i.e. Windows Moviemaker- put it on the timeline and straight away export it as an avi file.
