Hi David, If youre happy with your set-up, then thats fine, its a nice
set-up. I think the 60hz would give me a headache, but its what ever it
takes you to feel happy. I do a lot (and I mean a lot) of graphics work for
a whole host of different customers, and my one concern for all of my output
is colour accuracy, to me its the biggest priority. Because a lot of my
work winds up as print, I needed a monitor that has a good tube, accurate
colour, decent refresh rate and is stable. Have to say that the Sony's I
have used in the past were very good. My current Iiyama is as good and in
some area's it has advantages. My Vid cards are 3d Wild cat 7110 Pro, and
Radeons 9600Pro & 9800Pro.The wild cat is about the best I have ever used,
its awesome, but the Radeons are superb as well. I personally dont think
there is a great deal of difference in 2D graphics work, or a great deal in
difference beween the modern Vid Card, again its personal choice. I suffer
bad heads with lower refresh rates on smaller monitors, hence my set-up.
Probably wouldnt suite everyone, but it works for me. The whole lot is on a
2003 server, with 2 graphic workstations. Its what ever takes your fancy and
what you can afford.
Regards
Brian
