Hi!
I'm a newbie but I've heard by professionals that archiving on DVD is time
limited...
In average 5 years???
They suggested the best is on Digital Tapes like MiniDV or Digital8: in average
20 years???
Is that true?
I actually have no DVD older than 2 years...
I have a VHS tape with my first dance performance in 1986! still works!
Any experience on this subject anybody?
Thanks!
dimitri

How many: 99%. I think all today's and future players and TVs can handle
both PAL and NTSC, so in the future when all people got rid of all the
"old" equipment, it will be 100%

BUT today I still have customers who insist on getting their movies on VHS.
I tell them that for less than $100 they can buy a DVD player with much
better quality than a VHS deck but still they insist on VHS.

  LOL

How cheap are DVD players in the USA anyway? Here in France you'll find
them for 39 euro already, that's about 45 dollars.
