Peter, Sounds to me like the program thinks you are writing to a CD and not a DVD. Check to make sure that you are pointed at your DVD burner as your output deck.

I have been helping my father edit some video footage using Arcsoft Showbiz DVD, which is now ready to be burnt to a DVD. Althought the total amount of footage is way below the 4.7GB of the DVD, it is telling us that it is too much for the disc. I have now halved the footage (in other words to make a 'part 1' on 1 disc and 'part 2' on the other. This is totalling just over 1 GB each part and yet I am still getting the message up telling me it won't fit on the disc. Even reducing the bitrate to 3mb per second makes no difference.
