I am coming back on this subject.

Jeffrey, could you explain to us briefly what this "reel-stream" unit does
exactly to our camcorders?

Also, did you notice that Sony introduced a new High Definition camcorder,
the HDR-FX1 ?

Features:

- 1080i high definition video recording and playback
- Three 1/3" wide aspect ratio Advanced HAD CCD imagers for enhanced color
quality
- Professional-level MPEG2 video compression with the Real-time HD Codec Engine
- Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens with 12x optical zoom
- 3.5" wide precision hybrid SwivelScreen LCD display

It records on MiniDV cassettes. I don't find anything about progressive
scan (filmlook), I am afraid this camera only has interlaced (two-field) image?
