Ok AVI an ambiguity...that is, AVI is a general
extension
for many difference compression formats in Win2K.
if it's mp4 or wmv that maybe why Premiere don't like
it.
I never use that (wmv) codec in my work.
What are the dimensions [widthxheight]?
what is the frame rate [fps]?

Download Gspot... it will tell you what codec the AVI
was compressed with (do a search, you'll find it)

Hang in there, we'll get through this....
I still don't have enough information to go on
but if we keep this up for another week, we just
might figure it out...try Gspot and let me know.
