I have been wondering the same thing -- I searched the internet and did not
find why the "RW" symbol is there, but the packaging the DVDs came in did not
"promote" the re-writable feature (if it exists on these DVDs).

Subject: [AP] Erase DVD+RW?
My LaCie DVD burner for my Mac G4 came with a DVD... on the DVD it says
DVD+R but it also has the "RW" logo. Should this DVD be re-writable?
Because in the Mac I don't see a way to erase this disk or delete the files
I put on it earlier. Does "RW" stand for something else maybe?
Help me, I am lost, I need help and support, it's cold,
Rieni
