IronFist, Wow - it's been a while since I fired up 6.5.
Under the Edit menu, select "Preferences" and "Scratch Disks and Device Control". Under "Device Control" use the "Device" drop down list to select "None" Also, under "Project Settings" menu select the "General" in the "Editing Mode:" drop down list. Next select the "Playback Settings" button and you will get a pop up dialog box. The very first item should be "Playback on DV Camcorder/VCR" and the third item should be "Render Scrub Output to DV Camcorder/VCR. Make sure there is NO check mark on these items as you say you have no DV camera connected. This should help - as long as you don't need device control or to have DV video sent to your camera. --- Jim K ironfistviii wrote: > > > > I just bought Adobe Premiere 6.5 and I noticed a few error messages > while installing it. > > When I opened the program for the first time an error message came > up saying there was a problem with some card.
