Some cameras can be set to output a signal with time-code superimposed on
the picture. If you do this with a blank picture starting from zero and
capture the result, then reverse it your problem is solved.
Note though that any 10 minutes worth of DV will occupy a couple of
Gigabytes or so. (13 GB per hour).
