Hi Rob,

Unfortunately, I do have sensitive eyes and I do wear contact lens which has
caused additional sensitivity. I've been playing around with the different
refresh rates which is why I've landed at 100 - 120 hz is what I can take. The
monitor I just bought isn't going to work for me - and it's giving me
headaches if I sit in front of it for any length of time :-(

Thanks again!

Michelle

  1600x1200 60hz?

  hmmm...i'm getting 1920x1440x32bit @ 85hz running an NEC FP2141 monitor
(using Matrox G550 Dualhead (about $175 CDN last time i looked)).

"I have to have at least 100 and 120hz refresh rate"

wow, that's a high refresh... u may wanna lower your standards a bit unless
u've got oodles of cash or v-e-r-y sensitive eyes... i find anything from 85hz
up works for me... then again, i wear glasses... a message in there somewhere?
:)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction for troubleshooting my
problem. My video card can handle high resoulution and refresh rates (ATI
Radeon 8500DV). I made sure the "box" was checked to only show the refresh
rates the monitor can handle and discovered that at 1600x1200 it can only go to
60hz, I have to drop to 1024x768 to get to 100hz. I have to have at least 100
and 120hz refresh rate is better. So now I have to make a decision on whether
to keep this monitor and deal with the lesser resolutin and refresh rate or
spend more money and get a different monitor - one that I will probably have to
order online!

Has anyone had luck with the refurbished monitors and/or buying from
http://www.acurateit.com?

Sorry for taking this off topic of Premiere info.......

    Thanks again for the help!
