Hi,
I have been working to find a perfect cinelook for sometime now and
am quite pleased with the results however my final result makes my
highly lit areas blinding on the tv screen! Im curious if anyone can
help me in this area..here are the methods Ive used so far.

I first proccessed using this tutorial:
http://www.dvinfo.net/articles/filmlook/broadway2.php

This has given me a great adjustment for what I want but still
wanted a lil more.

Second I used cineon convertor in AFX

This has given great shadows and color depth that I couldnt get by
any other method I know of.

Third I used Vegas 5.0 for the saturation effect

For some reason when I try and increase the saturation in any adobe
program weather its premiere or AFX I get "artefacts" when I up the
saturation more then a couple points. When I tried it using the
second color correction option in Vegas 5 it seems I could almost
max the bar out with saturation and get the most colorfull color
possible and get zero artefacts! I am not understanding why this is
but just same im glad I found it.

So now my problem is after doing it this method I have the best
color I could ask for but my lights or "highlights" are blinding!
The sun especially..turns my sky into a white mess...I suppose my
real question is is there any tutorial or method anyone knows about
to isolate and lower a certain type of highlight and not a whole
movie? Ive attempted with adjusting brightness and contrast but it
just takes away from the rest of the video.

Thank you in advance,
Dean
