That's pretty cool. But I only have $80 in my 200 gig external drive!
Our main motivation for using this method involved an old Hi-8 camera.
Since we are working exclusively on miniDV now it's a pain to mess
with Hi-8 tapes. But the old Hi-8 camcorder isn't junk. We can still
use it this way AND not worry about different tape formats.
