----Yes, Premiere Pro is a total rewrite. A cursory look at Premiere pro HD
might force you to reassess your "prosumer" designation however. PProHD is
quite capable of feature level work.
I can't speak for those who refer to NLE software as "movie editing" programs,
but for its day 6.01 did things that no other software could do in that price
range so in terms of "bang for your buck", 6.01/6.02 really WAS "one of the
best" for its time anyway.
