you don't have to tell me...i have 5.1...the point of the post was 
with the right material you can facilitate 5.1. hopefully you're not 
saying that with 99 tracks of audio i can't export the individual WAV 
files and encode them into 5.1 as the author of that site suggests.

yes if the original material is a "mixed" stereo then the best you 
get is a pseudo 5.1 and if you Pan you're just panning the entire 
field...i know that.

one other thing to consider from premiere you can use the windows 
media encoder and export 5.1 though it's only playable in windows or 
windows compatible devices.

and technically if you have a frequency of 80 or lower it'll end up 
in the subwoofer anyway. that's the way speaker systems have worked 
for several decades and for those that don't buy crossovers will 
either burn out their woofers trying to throw high frequencies or 
their tweeters trying to throw low frequencies.
