Thanks for the tip. I think I need to tinker some more. I adjusted settings to what I thought would be optimal and it told me during the dvd building process that the bit rate was too high for DVD.
I have a home DVD recorder and the transfer was flawless from Mini DV, but the systen does not allow for menus. Either way, I agree with you that it should be a smooth process and IO'll keep working at it. I also found that Adobe has a newer version of the encoder that is optiomized for the P4 chip. I'll download that and see if that helps. I appreciate the quick repsonces. --- In [email protected], Lee Schneider <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > >to make my 1st DVD for personal distribution. There is a preset for high quality DVD, or you can manually adjust it. You probably have the bit rate & or encoder quality set a bit too low. Remember that MPEG is a compressed format, so you are not staying uncompressed. Those controls in the Adobe MPEG Encoder are controlling the amount of compression. Let us know if you still have problems, and hopefully someone w/more knowledge than myself can jump in. > > Lee > > > > Schneider Equine Video > Fort Worth, TX > (541)543-8368 > > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo!
