300 gig for video files, 7200 rpm hard drive
16x DVD dual layer burner ($50)
17" CRT monitor ($87 used)
15" external monitor that is plugged to my camcorder or the Sony DSR20
(monitor is $40, ebay)
Keyboard/mouse ($10 each)

Subject: [AP] Advice for a Mac user who needsto build a PC based
Premiere System

Hi-

Due to circumstances of my being out in Cambodia now, where Macs are
scarce, I'm in
need of building a PC based editing system. Normally I use FCP on the
Mac, but since
I'm now using a PC, I am seeking advice on hardware, configuration, etc.

In short: what's the minimum setup requiredto run Premiere decently?
The ideal
setup? What about video cards (not necessary with Mac), other cards,
etc?

Any help appreciated,

JR
