OK Oying,

Trying to get an idea of your "workflow' God I love this word,
it entails so much:

My system is much like yours, and no such events occur.
In my case, System and programs are on one disk, Media disk
is a second disk, just for audio and video.

When you say 'render to avi' what exactly does that mean?

For instance, when I execute a segment of a project, say
couple seconds, or couple minutes, with transitions, etc,
I hit 'enter' on the keyboard and that segment is 'rendered'.
Never fails. Is that what you mean when you say 'render to avi'?

or are you referencing some type of 'Export' choice from a drop
down menu? If so, why is that good for you? You may play out from
the timeline, via firewire, s-video, or rca video and audio,
any output you desire, to any device happy to receive this input.

Basically, if you have the project on your hard drive, and have
done as described above, its already 'rendered to avi'.

So, why choose to 'render to avi' an entire long form project, if
these other options can work for you?

Just a couple questions :-)

Just curious.

All best regards

Mark McLaughlin
