Hi! I got this problem with clips digitized in Premiere, but using a Pinnacle DV-card. Tried to move the project from a PC with Pinnacle card to one with ordinary firewire card.
Solved the problem by buying a cheap 30 - 50 dollar program called DVconverter Pro or something similar. Very handy program, you start the proggy, select all files you want fixed, it tells you if it knows the codec used, you tell it where to put the fixed files, and hit go. In my case, the proggy was about as fast as copying the files from one hard disc to another. The proggy will do Pinnacle, Canopus ( I think) Avi type 1 and 2, quicktime dv, microsoft dv etc etc. Really nice proggy. Question: Is this what media cleaner does also?
