Jason, Any video file can be used as an animated background in Encore. Import a video file to use as an animated background into your Project, then click on the Menu tab, and select the menu so that the Menu Edit Window opens. Then click on the Project tab. Next, click on the Menu Edit Window again to make it active, and go to the Menu Properties window and drag the "pick whip" next to "Video" over to your video file in the Project tab. If you don't want to play the entire clip, change the Duration time in the Menu Properties window, and if you want the background video to loop, set the Loop # to your liking.
