You should get a percentage. 50/50 is the usual and,
in some cases 60 (for you) and 40. Of course that is
if the company syndicating is reputable (very few are
trustworthy), otherways you should agree upon a fixed
figure and I have no idea on that particular subject.
They should give you a figure that suits them, triple
that and negotiate from it.
