Jeff and David, Thanks so much for your prompt and enlightening replies! Unfortunately, the flicker also does appear on my finished DVDs. What I have discovered, though, is that it seems to be Premiere Pro related. I tried throwing the same slides into ProShow Gold, and did the pans and zooms, and there was no flicker or sparkle whatsoever! Now I'm going to try taking my Premiere Pro slide show, export it as an avi, then bring it into ProShow Gold and see if that works. Sounds like a lot of shenanigans to get rid of the flickering, but it really looks awful.
Jeff, I'm going to try the gaussian blur you suggested. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again!
