Tom,
As both Jeff and Johnny have, we also have Premiere Pro 1.5 with SP2 
running on multiple machines, and we just recently completed two 
projects at 3 hours each, and 3 one-hour projects with no problems.  You 
should go to Adobe's site and look for the latest patches for Premiere 
Pro.  I remember a patch that addressed the "failed to return a frame" 
error.  Maybe that will help you out.
