Well, this could be a more matter of personal taste-- but I've viewed each
of the GPU effects/transitions that come with PPro2. And, to be honest-- I
(personally) would never use them. Just not attractive for professional use.
And, for the rare times I could use them, I can live with 128MB, easily.

Plus, again this is a matter of personal workflow, I usually have my NTSC
monitor attached, and preview my edits as the client will see it. So, when
you're previewing to an attached DV device, PPro2 doesn't use the
GPU-acceleration anyway. So, in reality, the odds of me a.) previewing to a
sequence to the desktop only, and b.) using a GPU effect in that exact same
sequence, are infinitesimally small.

I think you're right about it being only for GPU-enabled effects and
transition. I seem to recall reading the same thing. But would a 128MB
