Lee,

I always run into the same problem.  I have to change my DV Output 
settings to "Play on DV Hardware" and "Play on DV Hardware and 
Desktop."

I don't know why that works, but I imagine it has something to do 
with the fact that I don't have a video card, but that's a wild guess.
