In the last several months, I have had at least three external USB
drives "fail", viz., they would become inaccessible. Reformatting
was possible, but of course all files were lost. Two of the drives
were Seagates, one a Maxter, and one a Buffalo "Drive Station." In
all of the cases I think I was working with pro 1.5, and in the
last instance, I was capturing from a DV tape.
I am wondering if the problem is USB drives in general; pro 1.5; my
computer, or karma. And, has anyone else had this problem?
Also, belatedly, I am looking for an efficient back up process, i.e.,
rather than just copying all the files to a separate disk.
