Is the audio samlping rate set different?, eg. 44 not 48?

Help, I have just purchased a new computer and installed the old media
hard drive. I am using Premiere 1.5 and upon opening my completed
project prior to going into Encore, on review the audio sound like
Mickey Mouse and i can not seem to correct this. Any ideas?
