Sune,
Assuming that your editing program doesn't have the facility for down
converting (which it probably doesn't) why don't you capture and edit in HDV
and then play the HDV results back into the camera and record on a tape.
Then you can downconvert the material from the tape using the Z1E's
downconverter and record that in SD on another recorder.
You then have an HDV version on tape to keep and an SD version for your
client.
Sounds simple enough, I wonder if you see a problem with it?

Subject: Edit in HDV and then convert to DV?
Hi All!
I've shot a quite large 1080i project and I'd like to edit it in HDV just
for the fun of it. I'll have to convert it to DV to sell it though, so I was
wondering how I can downconvert? Maybe it simply isn't worth it? Should I
use my Sony HVR-Z1E built-in downconverter instead?
Sune!
