Hi Keith, The problem here is that AVI isn't descriptive enough for us. You see, there are dozens of varieties of AVI, based on their compression "codec". Premiere can open some, and can't open others. In fact, it mainly depends on what codecs are installed on your system.
So find out what type of compressor "codec" this AVI file is using. You can use a free utility like G-Spot. Also, how did you get this AVI file (i.e., where did it come from?)
