Hi-- try rendering the work area. Depending on your version this is found as
Timeline > Render Work Area, or Sequence > Render Work Area.

Subject: [AP] slides don't show when hit play

I'm making a slide show in adobe premiere pro using jpeg files. My
slides show up on the monitor while I'm working, and when I drag the
red timeline line through, my slides show up in the monitor--however,
when I press play, the slides don't show up. Instead I get an "x"
image in its place. I also have titles in between the slides, which I
created in adobe, and those show up fine when I hit play. Any idea
  what's going on? Thanks!
