*Detour is an independent, grassroots arts event, which happens to be
held during Newark's Open Doors Studio and Available Space Tour. Detour
will be an _inclusive _**multi-medium event, meaning fine art, spoken
word, performance art, music, video and film.
The concept behind Detour is artists creating an alternative path of our
own choosing. This path leads us into a realm of expression and
progression that many on the mainstream path tend to miss on our journeys.
**The type of work we are looking for is that of mutual exclusivity,**
profoundness, patterned advances, and unbelievable collaboration. In
layman's terms... highly unique and quality stuff.
We will keep you informed of the deadlines for the fine art, **spoken
word, performance art, and music entries very soon. Please stay tuned.*
