Dave,

I looked at the bitrate calculator & it says you can encode at a
constant bitrate of 8000 kbps & fit 58 minutes onto a DVD. This is a
high rate & should give great results. I usually encode at about
6500 kbps. I've used P6.5 w/the bundled Main Concept encoder &
DVDit! for authoring/burning for a couple of years & it's worked
great. Are you exporting out of P6.5 with the Main Concept encoder,
and then importing the 2 files into DVDit! for authoring? I don't
think your files are too large because if they are, I believe you get
an error msg that says "data exceeds the capacity of the disc" before
you get to the step where it gives you the "data exceeds
multiplexable bit rate" msg. I doubt I've been any help here, but
feel free to give me a call if you would like. 817-721-6836, I'm in
Ft Worth Texas. I've been on deadlines before and have gone through
situations similar to yours & people on this board have helped me
out, so I would be more than happy to return the favor.
