Here's a few test to find out Check if there's anything else running in the background, most of the time, I've found quicktime's qtray.exe is the one that gives me headache.
Check to see if your firewire cable is good, sometimes, that has a lot to do with it Readjust the settings, on premiere pro for the properties (video properties), you might have to use software control instead of hardware, I've found problem with that as well. Hope all these help Johnny PS: if anyone interested, an AFM trailer for my indie sci-fi film The Rapture is online, you can check it out at http://www.rapturethemovie.com --------------- Johnny Wu Producer/Director/Editor www.mdifilm.com 216.373.3278 President Organization of Chinese Americans of Greater Cleveland OCAGC www.ocagc.org Administrator Cleveland IndieClub www.clevelandindieclub.com -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Keith Sent: Tuesday, October 31, 2006 9:26 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [AP] Re: Dropped frames - Help! Hi Sune. Sorry if this comes in twice. I replied via my email client, then it didn't show up for a long time, so I am replying via web post. My system: Win XP SP2 AMD Athlon 64 3000 1808 MHZ 1 Gig Ram Radeon 9550 256MB Video Do I need more RAM or something? Sometimes I can export my 30min videos to tape with no trouble at all. Then times like last night, it happened twice. Once after three minutes and then once after 19 minutes. I know that because I had set to stop after 2 dropped frames. What are the implecations of not stopping on dropped frames, and then you do have some dropped frames? What will be the impact on your exported movie? Thanks.
