I posted this last night (actually early am) when I joined this
newsgroupd but I don't see it anywhere so I will try again. I may be
jumping gun if moderator hasn't had time to review it but here goes
again anyway as I've been wasting DVD after DVD trying to burn a
movie of my daughter's high school musical theater group
performing "Dames at Sea"

I am very close to finishing this and can really use some help from
the experts here who use Adobe Premier Elements.

I captured approximately 120 minutes of digital film using a SONY
Digital camcorder (DCR-TRV480) of a high school musical (Dames at
Sea) that my daughter was in. After editing the film it was about 90
minute long.

I did not use any special effects but made up three scrolling titles.

1. Cy Falls High School Theater proudly presents Dame at Sea. About
15 seconds long scrolling from bottom to top in large gold letters.
I created a second Video Track on timeline (renaming it Titles)

2. Credits for Dames at Sea with all cast members/crews names etc
scrolling from top to bottom in large Gold leters. This was placed
after the final scene in musical after cast came out for Encore. For
background music I used Lenny Kravitz's "Lady" which runs for about 4
minutes and then matched up the time of the scrolling Credits with
the length of the song. I first tried putting the song on Audio track
1 and then on Audio Track 2.

3. After credits I created third title "Laser Quest Cast Party"
which scrolled right to left for 15 seconds. I was layed over the
start of 4-5 minutes of scenes of the cast party which was the last
film clip used on the video.

OK., so what happens? I previewed the DVD and it looked just like I
wanted the final version to look like. I plan to make copies for all
the students. It take about 4 hours to burn a DVD. So I have burned
numerous DVDs and each time everything comes out great with the
exception of the 4 minute "Dames at Sea Cast credits" scrolling
title. After the cast encore scene ends (take their bows etc) the
video then transitions to a black screen and then the Lenny Kravitz
song comes on and plays for 4 minutes but the scrolling Credits never
appear while the music plays in the background (Sound great) but
there is four minutes of a blank black screen withno credits. It then
plays the "Laser Quest cast party" title over scenes from the cast
party after the Kravitz song is finished. .

The other two scrolling titles come out fine on the DVD just like I
wanted them to look. The first one is "Cy Falls proudly presents ..."
about 2 minutes into video after Band Intro, and the second "Laser
Quest cast party" at the start of the final scene in the
movie.

So what am I doing wrong? How do I do it so that after the Encore
scene that the burned video displays 4 minutes of credits with 4
minutes of Kravitz's "Lady". Do I put the scrolling title in Video
track one and Lady on Audio track one or does each of them need to go
on a second Audio and Video track? Unlike the other two titles
mentioned above, the Cast Credits is not running over any video
footage like the othe two Titles. For the 4 minutes of Cast Credits I
want it to run with a black background (with accompanying Kravitz's
song) with no distracting video behind it.

Any help much appreciated.
