Check the write-protect tab on the video cassette. One of the most
frustrating times I've had with export to tape is trying to record to
a tape with the tab set to "Save" on the end of the cassette, in
which case the camcorder will refuse to record anything. Premiere Pro
now tells you if the cassette is write-protected, but earlier
versions didn't and sometimes I'd tear my hair trying to figure out
what was wrong.
