Try This....copy the file from the disk to your video hard drive and rename
the file to xxx.mpg (xxx= original file name) then import into Premiere.
You may have to export the timeline to a .avi file and re-import it in
order to edit the video.

Richard

  Subject: [AP] DVD Capture???

Can Premiere actually import clips from DVDs?

I tried without success to see if I could.

My less than stellar knowledge left me feeling inept.

I did try capturing through Roxio, but the system won't let me narrow
the capture, and it just took so much time to initialize a capture for
a short sequence that I just couldn't wait any longer.

This is footage that I've burned from my Camcord to DVD of the family.
